About The Position
Quanex is looking for a Shipping Coordinator – 1st Shift to join our team located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for organizing the finished product, loading trucks, and transferring materials to and from machining centers. As well, to lead and effectively utilize all assigned resources to complete the delivery of products in a manner to meet manufacturing requirements and delivery schedules. You will also be required to work in production as needed.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent education, required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including excel and Teams
- Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration in a fast-paced environment
- Bringing a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality
Nice To Haves
- 6 months+ of manufacturing experience, preferred
- 6 months+ of shipping experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Organizing the finished product
- Loading trucks
- Transferring materials to and from machining centers
- Lead and effectively utilize all assigned resources to complete the delivery of products in a manner to meet manufacturing requirements and delivery schedules
- Work in production as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines
- Communicate with other Quanex locations regarding shipments, full trucks, and logistics team
- Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to the position and communicate late or non-shipments to Customer Service and Sales
- Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
