About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the shipment of IFS products in an efficient, accurate, and cost-effective manner. This position works closely with Customer Service, Production, and Warehouse personnel to ensure orders are shipped on time and meet customer requirements.

Requirements

2–3 years of supply chain experience, with a concentration in shipping and receiving.
Recent experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn and effectively use ERP systems and databases.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Required to wear all designated personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and use hands and arms throughout an 8-hour shift or longer as needed.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 55 pounds.
Ability to climb stairs as needed.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where noise levels are frequently loud.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate all outbound freight shipments, including TL, LTL, parcel, and customer pickups.
Review and prepare open sales orders for shipment using the WiSys ERP system.
Generate and distribute all shipping documentation, including pick tickets, bills of lading, packing slips, export documentation, and other required shipping documents.
Coordinate with Customer Service, Production, and Warehouse personnel to ensure customer orders are completed and shipped on schedule.
Receive, verify, and process incoming shipments and customer returns for accuracy.
Schedule carrier appointments and communicate with freight carriers regarding pickups, deliveries, and shipment status.
Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve shipping issues to minimize delays.
Support inventory accuracy by participating in cycle counts and physical inventories.
Ensure customer orders are picked, staged, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
Maintain shipping records and documentation in accordance with company policies and ISO requirements.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shipping and warehouse processes.
Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, answering carrier inquiries, and other duties as assigned.
