About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that all daily shipping activities run smoothly and efficiently. This position supports the accurate packing, documentation, and movement of products while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external logistics partners. The Shipping Coordinator contributes directly to meeting company delivery goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment
  • High School Diploma
  • Must have 1+ years’ experience in the shipping area for a manufacturing facility
  • 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse distribution environment
  • 1+ years’ experience in the shipping area for a manufacturing facility
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities are constantly changing
  • Experience with LTL, FTL and parcel shipments and load planning
  • Experience with all forms of shipping documents – BOL’s, Import, Export and NAFTA.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control
  • Experience with material handling equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds plus and be active physically in the department’s operation
  • Passion and commitment to manufacturing and operations
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to build and maintain working relationships
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytic skills
  • Ability to work effectively with peers to resolve issues and implement change
  • Organized and task-oriented, with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Demonstration of computer-based skills: Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft and in-house software

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual considered an asset
  • Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing or HVAC industry considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensures completed orders are packed accordingly in Price systems.
  • Determines which delivery service each order requires, while ensuring data entered to Price ERP/TMS systems is accurate.
  • Monitor shipping transactions and documentation for accuracy/timeliness and ensures paperwork for shipped items are distributed to carriers, and filed correctly in accordance with company standards.
  • Obtains quotes from Price approved brokers for outgoing truckload shipments.
  • Communicates directly with Price Logistics team on any Track-and-Trace, POD, Claims, Diversion, Re-consignment requests and other support required for outbound shipments that have already left the facility.
  • Communicates with production cells to ensure on company “on time” delivery goals.
  • Communicates directly with Trade Compliance and International Exports to ensure accurate documentation for shipments leaving the US.
  • Assist in maintaining security of the loading dock area driver holding zones.
  • Ensures administrative documents are maintained in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain positive relations/interactions with carriers and drivers.
  • Assist with supervisory duties as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
