About The Position
Quanex is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join their team in Mounds View, Minnesota. This role offers the opportunity to think strategically, apply a wide range of skills, and work independently. The position is a day shift, Monday through Thursday with a half day on Friday, and does not require weekend work. The company is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company serving various OEM markets.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
- At least 6 months of forklift experience; ability to pass OSHA required practical and written exams.
- Strong organizational skills, with emphasis to details.
- Moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
- Operates all forklifts to properly load, transport and unload stock, parts, and materials.
- Manages changing priorities and stays focused after an interruption such as a delivery.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of all materials shipped out from and being received by the facility.
- Monitors scheduling board to determine when trucks will arrive.
- Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.
- Follows safety rules and procedures.
