About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and safe outbound shipments while maintaining finished-goods inventory accuracy. This role works closely with receiving and material handling teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Understand how to manage daily work expectations and goals
  • Understand cross check concepts and inspects product according to Inspection Control Plan
  • Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices
  • Ability to sustain 95% efficiency
  • Can maintain a high level of quality - must not have scrap in excess of $500 per calendar year
  • Can inspect and clean equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have forklift and material handling experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and be detail oriented

Responsibilities

  • Loads outbound shipments for customer delivery
  • Inspect outbound shipment for damage, verify quantities, and address any discrepancies
  • Must possess a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and reference United Alloy's Master Document system for formal instructions
  • Ability to operate a forklift, overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
  • Must be able to read and write job numbers
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Work in collaboration with receiving and material handling
  • Adheres to maintaining finished good inventory control and accuracy
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
  • Ability to cross train in receiving
  • Other duties as assigned
