About The Position

This is a 2nd shift position with work hours from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The role involves preparing and arranging for the shipment of product for external operations, completing and updating the daily shipping schedule, and maintaining shipping logs. You will also verify items on receiving logs, arrange shipments as specified by the customer or by "best way" methods, and troubleshoot and communicate with carrier representatives when situations arise. The position requires providing shipment tracking to internal and external customers as needed, entering all necessary shipping information into company software, and verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments. You will compare information, counts, weights, or measures of shipments against relevant documents like bills of lading, invoices, and orders. Additionally, you will record and report shortages or damaged goods, use computer software to generate labels, and periodically perform physical inventory of materials.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Previous lift truck experience
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain a Power Industrial Truck operator permit
  • Self-started and be able to work in varying environment
  • Must be able to work as a team player

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer minimum of two years in a Shipping Clerk role
