About The Position

The candidate must ensure the accuracy of all daily shipping paperwork prior to shipping of AAON products. This role involves preparing accurate shipping reports for Accounting, looking up freight costs, and performing heavy data entry. Accuracy is critical, and the position requires professional communication via telephone and email with internal and external customers. The job duties must be performed at the facility, requiring analytical problem-solving abilities, accurate sorting and filing of documents, and establishing/following processes to ensure correct paperwork is completed timely and per shipping requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, accurate with forms and numbers, and demonstrate a sense of urgency and initiative. Flexibility is needed to perform several functions at once, including dock work, and all job duties must be performed in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include assisting at the front counter when needed, being attentive to customer needs, maintaining the SOP Handbook, and acting as an Administrative Assistant to Parts, Warranty, and Shipping.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 18 Years of age.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ten-key by touch – fast and accurate.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership abilities.
  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
  • Exhibits good decision-making and problem solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
  • Overtime required as business demands.
  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate shipping reports for Accounting on a daily basis.
  • Look up freight costs on e-shipping for each order.
  • Perform heavy data entry on a daily basis.
  • Ensure accuracy of data.
  • Professionally communicate via telephone and e-mail with internal and external customers.
  • Perform job duties at the facility.
  • Possess analytical problem-solving abilities.
