About The Position

Grecian Delight | Kronos Foods Crop is seeking a Shipping Clerk for our Glendale Heights location. As our Shipping Clerk you will be responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments in a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all products are shipped accurately, safely, and in compliance with food safety regulations. The Shipping Clerk will work closely with warehouse staff, production teams, and truck drivers to manage loading schedules and maintain efficient shipping operations.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail, especially with lot tracking and documentation.
Good communication skills for working with drivers and internal teams.
Problem-solving skills for handling delays or discrepancies.
Time management and ability to meet strict shipping deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years’ experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
Experience working the truck shipments and freight carriers.
Basic computer skills with experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare and verify outgoing shipments for accuracy (product, quantity, lot codes, expiration dates via IFS).
Coordinate daily shipping schedules with truck drivers and carriers.
Generate bills of lading (BOL), packing lists, and shipping documentation utilizing IFS system.
Inspect loads prior to shipment to ensure proper packaging and temperature requirements are met.
Maintain shipping logs, records, and traceability documentation.
Track shipments and resolve any delivery or scheduling issues.
