About The Position

Stabilus is a global leader in the production of gas springs and dampers on five continents. Our products can be used in a wide variety of industries, such as the automotive and office chair manufacturing industries, furniture technology, solar industry, medical technology, and many other industrial applications. A Shipping Clerk must prepare outgoing shipments in compliance with detailed customer requirements. This is on 1st shift which is from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. There may be opportunities to work some overtime on weekends. The position will be located at our U.S. Corporate Headquarter location in Gastonia, NC.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• At least 6 months experience and proficient operating order pickers, forklifts, and turret trucks.
• Ability to identify all customer specific parts and prepare accordingly.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Good attendance record.
• Must learn how to drive the docking tractor, and back 53’ trailers to the docks.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate well with supervisors and team.
• Weekend work and extended shift hours will be required as needed.
• Support of receiving weekend inbound STMX deliveries is required.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes, procedures, and safety standards.
• Good computer skills.
• General inventory control, FIFO, Cycle Counting and KAN-BAN principles.
• Knowledgeable of 5S and Lead Manufacturing Principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must have good reasoning ability.
• Basic mathematical skills a must.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of associates including management.
• Performs operations with recognized procedural methods. Most tasks are routine in nature.
• Standing, walking, and bending will be performed for the entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous material handling equipment certification preferred.
• Previous experience with warehouse systems and RF scanners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing shipments in compliance with detailed customer requirements.
• Pulling, labeling, scanning, and posting of orders.
• SAP understanding of all movement transactions and manipulation of scanner data.
• Effectively communicate with final assembly in preparation of daily shipments.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment with a strong team focus.
• Work efficiently and productively with limited supervision.
• Learn other warehouse jobs roles for team support.
• Email communication of order status with CSRs and warehouse team members.
