About The Position

Consider joining the Pennex family as a Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift in our Leetonia, OH location. The Shipping Clerk prepares shipping paperwork for trucks, stages metal for shipment, and loads/unloads small box trucks. This will be a night shift position, from 2pm to 10pm Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mobile equipment experience required (Combi and Forklift)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures or rulers.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must possess a valid Forklift Operator’s license and have prior forklift experience.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.
• Regular attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares shipping Bills of Lading (BOLs), Manifests, Tickets, and other related documents.
• Stages metal on the floor for upcoming shipments.
• Loads and unloads box truck with tow motor.
• Enters shipping information into customer-specific portals.
• Assists with maintaining accurate inventory data and participate in monthly/quarterly inventory counts.
• Maintains and updates data in various computer systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel and Epics.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area, including general housekeeping of the work area.
• Assists with general housekeeping of the area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
