About The Position
Load finished lumber onto trucks and train cars to ship to customers. The rate of pay for this position is $24.18 per hour. This role requires working in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. The position involves working regularly scheduled shifts and scheduled overtime as required.
Requirements
- Must complete forklift safety training course and obtain forklift certification.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift.
- Take customers orders out of the inventory computer system.
- Figure how the loads will best fit on the truck or rail car.
- Load lumber onto truck or train without damaging the product.
- Scan orders out of the inventory system & give driver a detailed ticket showing what is on the order.
- Pick up broken boards and strapping.
- Keep inventory in sheds straight.
- Fix any lumber packages that are busted or damaged.
- Follow all applicable safety rules.
- Tally trucks and Rail Cars.
