About The Position
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing finished tanks for final shipment, ensuring all customer requirements, quality standards, and safety expectations are met prior to delivery. This role supports factory acceptance testing (FAT), completes shipment documentation, and coordinates outbound logistics to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and maneuvering up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and platforms for elevated work.
- Walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, balancing, stooping, lie down inside or under vessel and twisting while performing required job tasks.
- Being mindful of chemical safety and use proper PPE when required.
- Ability to handle stress and fast paces environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with Epicor our ERP system.
- Experience preparing large or custom-built equipment for shipment
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, customer specifications, and load securement practices
- Forklift or material handling certification (or ability to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Prepare finished tanks for shipment, including final inspections, cleaning, staging, labeling, and securing loads
- Complete and verify customer punch lists prior to final shipment
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) activities to ensure tanks meet customer and contractual requirements
- Ensure all outbound shipments are prepared according to customer specifications, internal standards, and shipping requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, quality, project management) to resolve shipping readiness issues
- Accurately complete shipping documentation, bills of lading, and ERP transactions related to outbound shipments
- Maintain organized and safe shipping and staging areas
- Cross-train in other shipping and supply chain functions to provide coverage as needed
- Follow all Feldmeier Equipment safety policies, company procedures, and applicable occupational health and safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient shipping and facility operations
