About The Position

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing products for shipment by packing, labeling, processing, and documenting outgoing materials according to Biomerics standards. This role involves operating equipment such as weight scales, degreasing tanks, and ovens, as well as using pallet jacks to transport goods within the shipping department. The associate ensures shipments meet quality and accuracy standards while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Good math skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous shipping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular, on-site, and reliable attendance.
• Pack loose piece and reeled product.
• Operate and set weight scales.
• Use pallet jacks to move material in and out of the shipping department.
• Interpret and follow degreasing, heat treating, and packaging specifications.
• Operate degreasing tanks and heat treat ovens.
• Process products for shipment to customers.
• Maintain daily shipping records.
• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy.
• Follow all established safety rules and regulations.
• Work efficiently and make effective use of time.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
• Demonstrate creativity by recommending improvements.
• Exhibit punctuality and consistent attendance.
