About The Position

The Shipping Clerk I packs and ships prescriptions for three pharmacies, following all shipping procedures and checklists. The role works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor and is onsite, with candidates expected to live within comfortable driving distance of Lakeland, Florida. The offered schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Training is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for approximately two weeks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Ability to drive a handheld forklift.
Ability to work in a standing environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously.
Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
Ability to work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.
Ability to perform repetitive work accurately.
Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of shipping or receiving experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately ship prescription orders for all three pharmacies in a timely manner.
Follow all shipping procedures and each step on the shipping checklist when packaging an order.
Stock freezers with ice packs.
Respect and maintain HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
Keep the warehouse clean and stocked.
Receive and sign for all deliveries that arrive at the facility.
Keep the work area clean and adequately stocked with boxes and supplies.
Follow and help enforce company policies and procedures.
Order supplies and boxes when needed.
Contact the courier or post office regarding matters such as late pickups or special requests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
