About The Position

FARO Services, Inc. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for its Dallas, Texas operation. The company, founded in 1988 in Columbus, Ohio, has grown into a diversified logistics organization with operations across the United States. This role involves checking in drivers, verifying shipment paperwork, identifying and labeling freight, producing ASN files, answering driver calls, managing customer and carrier emails, and maintaining a daily on-hand report.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Quick problem solver.
• Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality are a must.

Responsibilities

• Checks in drivers and looks up shipments provided by drivers, directing them to the appropriate dock doors for unloading of product.
• Verifies BOL(s) and manifest paperwork for inbounds to determine if all the freight was received or if there are discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages).
• Ensures proper identification and labeling of freight as it is received.
• Responsible for producing ASN files for inbounds and outbound shipments.
• Answers incoming calls from drivers and gives directions to the facility.
• Manages emails between the customer and carriers.
• Responsible for keeping a daily on hand report.
