About The Position

Duro-Last Roofing has an opening in their shipping department. All hourly employees receive WEEKLY PAY! This position is located in Kernersville, NC and offers a great working environment, excellent benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is required
At least 18 years of age
Able to work in a team and have initiative to get the job done
Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screen, physical, and background check
Bend, push, carry, lift up to 50 pounds
Available to work up to a 12-hour shift and weekends when necessary
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Nice To Haves

Extensive forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

Ability to read and interpret Bill of Ladings
Pick orders with accuracy using pick, pack, ship system (production part, stockroom parts, rolled goods, etc.)
Verify manufactured goods are correct prior to packaging and follow all packaging standard operating procedures
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of parts prior to shipments leaving
Operate various types of material handling equipment including a forklift, hi-low, and pallet jack – frequently getting on and off of forklift to retrieve product
Keep work area clean and neat to ensure there are no safety hazards and that the area is presentable for guests
Using a scanner and tablet to work with in the pick, pack, ship system to send complete and accurate orders to customers
Assist production team by transporting raw material and finished goods
All other duties as assigned
