Shipping Associate
About The Position
Pop! Promos, a leading supplier in the US promotional products industry and one of Philadelphia's fastest growing companies, is seeking a full-time Shipping Associate to join its team. The Shipping Associate will work closely with the Shipping Lead to ensure the accurate and prompt shipment of merchandise to clients and potential clients, including processing mailer kits and samples. Ideal candidates will have strong attention-to-detail and the ability to prepare a high-volume of shipments for pickup by UPS, FEDEX, and the Postal Service. The Shipping Associate will also ensure the accurate input of shipping information for orders with a tight turnaround time. The warehouse is heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer.
Requirements
- Must be able to work 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.
- Must pass a criminal background check (requested after job offer).
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- High-quality communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must be a fast, innovative thinker with a strong desire for success.
- Must be detail-oriented with great time management.
- Ability to follow explicit work instructions to meet tight schedules.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or USPS shipping software.
- Experience with UPS Worldship/FEDEX/USPS software preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receive and check-in incoming international shipments.
- Load pickups for outgoing packages (estimated 200-300 boxes of 40 lbs each per day).
- Pack outgoing shipments and samples, including proper inserts and labeling.
- Obtain necessary materials from the product catalog.
- Coordinate and dispatch shipments of promotional material to clientele.
- Utilize and interact with UPS, USPS, and DHL to meet priority/rushed requests and troubleshoot shipment issues.
- Obtain freight quotes from shipping vendors.
- Process mailer kits and samples.
- Ensure competence and compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
