About The Position

Juniper is an innovative lighting technology, design, and manufacturing company seeking a dedicated Shipping Associate to join our growing team in Southington, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for quality assurance and shipping operations to ensure products meet company and client standards. This role involves accurately verifying orders, safely packaging and shipping client products, inspecting outgoing and incoming goods, and maintaining inventory to prevent disruptions. You will utilize shipping software to create labels and process shipments while adhering to internal workflows for qualifying orders for shipment. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential, as you will professionally interact with clients to address their needs promptly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a high-performance, high-energy team environment. Your contributions will directly support the production of Juniper’s cutting-edge lighting solutions. Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in Shipping & Receiving, Inventory, or related positions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and capacity to follow written directions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and follow SOPs.
  • Excellent computer and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read orders and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.

Responsibilities

  • Verify that purchase orders match outgoing orders, ensuring the accuracy of product type, quantity, and specifications.
  • Inspect outgoing products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and address product defects, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Intake incoming products, identify and document points(s) of failure.
  • Conduct cross-checks between purchase orders, packing lists, and shipment documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders and outgoing shipments.
  • Package orders according to the intended packing design. Use purposeful packaging techniques to minimize damage for products without a defined packaging system.
  • Communicate with clients to arrange pickups and respond to shipping-related questions professionally.
  • Wrap and strap pallets for safe freight transport.
  • Prepare international shipping documents with thoroughness.
  • Fill all customer orders accurately and on time.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing areas, and workstations neat, maintaining a clean shipping supply area, and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Production and Operations team to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory needs for shipping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
