About The Position

This is a seasonal, full-time position for a Shipping Associate on the 1st Shift (5 AM - 1:30 PM). The role involves filling orders, counting, loading, and unloading products on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule. It requires the ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including using a hand truck to transport stacked products weighing up to 400 pounds over distances up to 300 feet, and stooping, bending, and lifting product containers weighing 20 pounds from floor level up to 7-1/2 feet. The position also requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, including those related to product safety, legality, and quality.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record information applicable to the job.
Ability to exert the force necessary to use a hand truck to transport stacked products weighing up to 400 pounds a distance of up to 300 feet continuously throughout the day into and out of transport trucks, up and down 30-degree slopes.
Ability to stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing 20 pounds from floor level up to 7-1/2 feet.

Responsibilities

Ensures that product received from plant or other plants is recorded correctly.
Loads and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure that shipping schedules are met.
Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
