About The Position

This position is responsible for filling orders, counting, loading, and unloading product on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule. The role requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality. The role is very physical and requires the ability to exert the force necessary to use a hand truck to transport stacked products weighing up to 400 pounds a distance of up to 300 feet continuously throughout the day into and out of transport trucks, up and down 30-degree slopes. The role also requires the ability to stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing 20 pounds from floor level up to 7-1/2 feet.

Requirements

High School or GED
Must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record information applicable to the job.
Ability to exert the force necessary to use a hand truck to transport stacked products weighing up to 400 pounds a distance of up to 300 feet continuously throughout the day into and out of transport trucks, up and down 30-degree slopes.
Ability to stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing 20 pounds from floor level up to 7-1/2 feet.

Ensures that product received from plant or other plants is recorded correctly.
Load and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure that shipping schedules are met.
Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
