This position is primarily responsible for the receipt, inspection, movement, storage, loading and shipping of components, assemblies and products. The role involves performing all warehouse duties including shipping of product, receiving of materials, stocking, pulling products for shipment, returns, and parts fulfillment. The specialist will verify all incoming and outgoing receipts & shipments, and is responsible for basic cosmetic and mechanical quality inspection and reporting. Establishing and maintaining good rapport with internal and external customers through effective communication and providing prompt support is key. The role requires regularly moving boxes and/or pallets for proper staging and/or storage by use of pallet jack, forklift and/or two-wheel dolly. Preparing documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating logistics for product shipment are also essential. The specialist will verify and ensure correct items, quantities and on-time shipments, and calculate freight quotes, prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, and coordinate pick-ups with freight carriers, complying with company and customer routing guidelines. Performing regular preventative maintenance requirements as dictated by equipment manufacturers and/or management is expected. The role also involves actively participating in a continuous improvement process as well as providing hands-on job function training to co-workers as needed. Finally, the specialist will perform data collection and input for warehouse metrics including safety, quality and delivery.
