About The Position

Ellsworth Adhesives specs in materials for cell phones, spaceships, and electric vehicles. Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, has an opening for a Shipping and Receiving Specialist role within its KitPackers division in Germantown, WI. KitPackers is a growing industry leader in the packaging of high-end adhesives for the aerospace, defense, technology, and automotive industries. This role involves receiving materials, moving them to appropriate locations, and preparing finished products for shipment. The specialist will also obtain shipping cost quotes, routing instructions, and arrange transportation services. Additionally, they will assist with training co-workers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 2 years of Shipping/Receiving experience
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Forklift certifications needs to be obtained within 90 days in the role
• Proficiently comprehends and follows customers' routing instructions, including but not limited to label, documentation, and transportation demands
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of work quality
• Any computer usage: Microsoft Office, ERP, distribution center software and/or hardware (UPC guns, etc.)
• Ability to interpret order notes and execute order instructions effectively
• Lifts and/or move up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Executes all duties and responsibilities of Shipping/Receiving Associate
• Arranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders through the customer's transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service)
• Provides quotes and arranges international freight shipments through the company’s designated freight forwarder
• Fills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipments
• Arranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders by making requests through the customer's transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service)
• Fills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipments
• Proficiently comprehends and follows customers' routing instructions, including but not limited to label, documentation, and transportation demands
• Following directions from the Warehouse Team Lead, performs inventory control tasks
• Trains other Shipping/Receiving employees
• Provides input on opportunities for continuous improvement
