About The Position

Globe Food Equipment and Varimixer USA, subsidiaries of The Middleby Corporation, are seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving Manager to join their Dayton team. This role offers a significant opportunity for career growth and operational impact. The Shipping & Receiving Manager will lead and actively participate in daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations, overseeing all inbound and outbound shipments including various freight types. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate and efficient handling of materials, inventory management, warehouse organization, documentation, and safety. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring active participation in daily tasks alongside supervising warehouse personnel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of warehouse, shipping, and distribution experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive warehouse and distribution experience, including experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience managing inbound and outbound freight, including LTL, truckload, and international shipments.
• Valid driver's license and forklift certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work hands-on and actively participate in daily warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP, WMS, shipping software, or inventory management systems; STARSHIP experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and actively participate in daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, including truckload, LTL, ocean container, intermodal, and small parcel freight.
• Ensure accurate and efficient receipt, storage, handling, picking, packing, kitting, and shipment of materials and finished goods.
• Oversee inventory transfers, warehouse organization, and material handling.
• Manage shipping documentation and warehouse safety.
• Supervise warehouse personnel.
• Actively participate in daily operations.
