About The Position

This role is responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing materials to support production. The position involves verifying shipments, managing warehouse organization, preparing products for shipping, creating shipping documentation, and maintaining customer websites and routing guides. The ideal candidate will adhere to safety policies, support continuous improvement, demonstrate teamwork, and provide good customer service. They will also be responsible for detecting and reporting defective materials, maintaining adequate supplies, keeping the work area clean, and performing various assigned duties in compliance with quality and environmental procedures. Flexibility in scheduling is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required, or one to three months related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the interviewer.
  • Basic computer/Windows knowledge required.

Responsibilities

  • Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy (item, quantity, vendor, PO#) and accurately enter receipt into ERP system.
  • Print and apply receiving labels to correct items after receipt of material.
  • Responsible for warehouse organization, accuracy of storage, and safety.
  • Unload trucks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain file of supplier packing slips and resolve receiving discrepancies.
  • Stage/prepare all product for shipping using Customer specified routing guides.
  • Create final shipping documentation (packing slip, custom documents, bill of lading, etc.) for each shipment.
  • Maintain customer websites as required.
  • Monitor/document all premium freight charges for outbound shipments.
  • Resolve any shipping discrepancies.
  • Maintain customer routing guides.
  • Load outbound trucks and assist drivers with documentation.
  • Adhere to all customer defined label/packaging requirements.
  • Adherence to established safety policies, procedures and practices.
  • Supports the organization’s efforts toward continuous improvement.
  • Supports the organization’s goals and values.
  • Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service.
  • Provides good customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Detect and report defective materials, equipment or facilities to immediate supervisor.
