About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, staging, and shipping of bottled water products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are accurate, products meet quality standards, and shipments are delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and experienced in operating forklifts and RF scanning equipment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
  • Proficient in using an RF scanner.
  • Ability to read shipping documents, packing lists, and warehouse labels.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Basic math and inventory verification skills.
  • Frequently bend, twist, reach, squat, and climb.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Perform repetitive movements in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Safely operate a forklift for extended periods.

  • Experience in shipping and receiving operations preferred.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to become certified).
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Experience handling palletized consumer packaged goods.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers and shipping containers using a forklift.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify products against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Prepare outbound shipments for retail customers, including Walmart, Aldi, Dollar General, and Family Dollar.
  • Verify shipping routes and delivery schedules to ensure shipments depart on time.
  • Inspect trailers and containers prior to loading to ensure they are clean, safe, and suitable for transport.
  • Secure loads to prevent product damage during transportation.
  • Stage rows of pallets in designated warehouse locations for efficient loading and inventory flow.
  • Transport pallets of bottled water throughout the warehouse using a forklift.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow warehouse procedures for inventory rotation and product storage.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support operations.
  • Use an RF scanner to receive, locate, pick, and verify inventory.
  • Check customer orders for accuracy prior to shipment.
  • Verify product quantities, pallet counts, and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure all shipping paperwork is complete and accurate before trucks depart.
