Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • 2-3 years of driving experience with a company.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 40 lbs) safely.
  • Ability to go up and down stairs

Nice To Haves

  • additional education or certifications related to logistics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to various locations within a designated area.
  • Ensure timely delivery of shipments while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers professionally.
  • Build positive relationships with clients through effective communication and reliability.
  • Verifies products prior to packaging and follows packaging instructions.
  • Prepares items for shipment, including completing shipping notices, bills of lading and any other required documents.
  • Determines shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Ensures accuracy, completeness, and condition of outgoing shipments.
  • Packages product according to work instructions.
  • Must be able to create advanced shipping notifications for applicable clients.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying the quantity and quality of products against purchase orders or packing lists.
  • Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to management promptly.
  • Organize received items in the warehouse according to established procedures.
  • Follow all safety protocols while driving and handling materials
  • Assist production and assist other management personnel as needed.
