About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. This position performs receiving and shipping tasks for parts and assists counter salesmen as needed. The coordinator checks incoming parts for condition and verifies that packing slips match the part numbers and quantities received, then processes packing slips to Inventory Control. The role also packs and ships parts to outlying customers, records shipments and shipping or receiving damages and shortages, and maintains related documents to protect inventory. The coordinator stocks checked-in parts in the appropriate warehouse locations, operates a forklift, and keeps bins, aisles, and storage areas clean, neat, and clearly labeled. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. This is designated as a safety-sensitive position. Operating the role under the influence of marijuana or other illegal drugs may pose a threat to health or safety, particularly because the work may involve operating heavy equipment or machinery.

Requirements

Good organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience dealing with the public in a sales or service capacity.

Nice To Haves

One year of parts- or warehouse-related experience.
Computer skills.

Responsibilities

Receive incoming parts and check their condition.
Verify that packing slips match the part numbers and quantities received.
Process packing slips for Inventory Control.
Pack and ship parts to outlying customers efficiently.
Maintain a log of outgoing shipments and shipping or receiving damages and shortages, along with other documents needed to protect inventory.
Stock checked-in parts in the proper warehouse locations.
Operate a forklift.
Keep bins, aisles, and storage areas clean, neat, and clearly labeled.
Assist counter salesmen when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
