About The Position

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized pharmacy that processes and dispenses prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Its automated operations allow prescriptions to be filled quickly and accurately, supporting retail pharmacies in providing clinical services and education to their communities. This role supports pharmacy shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment at the Central Fill facility in Plainfield, Indiana. The position is full-time, first shift, on a Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday schedule from 5:45 AM to 4:15 PM. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour; the stated hourly wage range is $15.20–$22.80, with possible performance bonuses and regional pay zone compensation for certain positions.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintain sorter operations by removing full totes, replenishing empty totes, scanning totes and locations with a handheld scanner, and rearranging units in totes to ensure proper fill rates.
• Manage product deliveries by preparing, reviewing, and verifying receiving documents and reports; processing, counting, separating, and scanning products; tracking and identifying products with computer software and basic applications; unloading trailers manually or with powered equipment; organizing inventory and transferring it to production stations; and maintaining records, logs, and forms such as shipping manifests.
• Stock drugs by opening boxes carefully with box cutters or knives, monitoring product size and making adjustments, labeling, scanning, and sorting drug types, transporting drugs to designated locations, storing excess drugs on overstock shelves or racks, and driving a forklift to transport skid items in the pharmacy.
• Maintain the quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory and packages by removing damaged or expired products, identifying and resolving record or file discrepancies, informing management about incorrect or inefficient processes and improper service procedures, and performing basic equipment maintenance such as cleaning and changing labels, bags, and ribbons.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress; recommend improvements; and adapt to change, challenges, and feedback.
• Ensure accurate packing and shipping of pharmacy products by packing prescriptions, scanning leaflets and medications, placing packages on a conveyor for sorting, packing temperature-sensitive medication according to specifications, including required supplies, stocking workstations, processing and labeling shipments with approved carrier software and equipment, and completing and verifying pickup and delivery paperwork.
