About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. The role involves maintaining organized stock areas, operating material handling equipment, preparing materials for shipment, supporting inventory and procurement processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of experience working in manufacturing, logistics, shipping, order processing, or a related operational role in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • One (1) year of experience using computer-based systems for data entry, order management, inventory tracking, or similar business operations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Must provide education and work history.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience allocating materials to customer orders.
  • Familiarity with BOL, LTL, and FTL shipping and dispatch processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Prior experience allocating material to customer orders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining clean, organized, and 5S-compliant stock areas across Stores, the Warehouse, and production storage facilities throughout the plant site.
  • Safely operating material handling equipment and company vehicles to transport materials within and between plant buildings.
  • Preparing and processing materials for shipment or transfer by packaging, labeling, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Supporting inventory and procurement processes, including labeling crates and containers with appropriate instructions and serving as a backup for purchase order execution.
  • Driving continuous improvement by identifying solutions, eliminating waste, and actively participating in 5S, 5D problem-solving activities, and the Lean Management System.
  • Complying with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing assigned duties.
  • Contributing to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
