About The Position

This role is responsible for performing essential job functions related to shipping and receiving, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures, and maintaining effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. The position involves using the ProAmpac ERP system for scheduling, pre-receiving, and updating shipment information, as well as managing dock activity and scanning receipt documents. Training new associates and performing other necessary duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to three years of related Shipping/Receiving experience and/or training in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all safety policies and procedures and ensures co-workers do as well.
  • Communicates with customers and suppliers' transportation carriers via phone or email and schedules appointments.
  • Works closely with ProAmpac customer service and materials management to ensure scheduled shipment/delivery changes are communicated timely.
  • Inserts scheduled delivery and shipment appointments in the ProAmpac ERP system, updating the system with any changes.
  • Accurately pre-receives all inbound material in the ProAmpac ERP system and completes systematic receiving functions after product delivery, verifying receipt completion.
  • Monitors the status of inbound scheduled loads, notifying management of overbooking.
  • Monitors the status of ProAmpac dock activity, coordinating and dispatching arriving inbound/outbound activity to appropriate dock areas.
  • Scans receipt delivery documents into the ProAmpac file retention system (Info Center).
  • Assists with training new associates in the department.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
