About The Position

Responsible for efficiently handling the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude in the use of initiative. Position exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of administrative experience; OR a combination of experience, certification, education and training that demonstrates expertise in the related areas.
  • Must possess and maintain a regular Class “E” Driver’s license
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook and Excel) and applicable department and organization specific software; ability to learn and become proficient in the use of other specialized software as may be required
  • Skill in using mathematics required for the work
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to review, compile and organize forms, documents and related records for efficient processing and ready retrieval
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a service-oriented team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information
  • Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in English, orally and in writing
  • Ability to follow public safety guidelines and protocols and perform job functions in a safe manner

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Processes incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality of items received
  • Stocks and organizes inventory in designated warehouse locations
  • Prepares and packs outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in labeling and documentation
  • Uses inventory management systems to update and maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities
  • Collaborates with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate timely and accurate deliveries
  • Assists with conducting regular cycle counts and participates in physical inventory audits
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies related to shipments and inventory
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and compliance standards
  • Communicates effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth operations
  • Provides support to the Inventory Control Supervisor in various tasks and projects as needed
