United State Cold Storage Inc / USCSLebanon, IN

About The Position

USCS is dedicated to advancing, innovating, and serving companies seeking "best in service", facilities, and logistics in the cold chain. We are an employee-focused, equal opportunity employer and would love to have you join our team. This role involves communicating effectively with carriers and other contacts regarding inbound and outbound product movements. The position requires a full understanding of how to enter product into the WMS, how product is stored, and shipped out of the facility. You will engage with drivers, verify their identification, assign dock doors, and check them in and out. A key responsibility is knowledge of product location within the warehouse to effectively assign dock doors and communicate any issues to the warehouse team. Accurate data entry from carrier/customer paperwork is essential for processing inbound shipments. You will generate bill documentation, ensure carrier review, and confirm drivers have correct paperwork for their loads. Reporting overages, shortages, defective materials, or questionable conditions as per customer requirements to the department supervisor and noting them on carrier/customer documentation is also required. You will be responsible for inputting all necessary appointment information, including driver paperwork, seal, and trailer number. This role acts as the final checkpoint for order completion and accuracy before releasing the driver. Identifying and collecting extra charges for pallets, overtime, labor, etc., from the driver is part of the role. You will assist customer accounts with posting inbound and outbound shipments and maintain professional relationships with carriers and customers. Additionally, you will act as a welcome center associate and security guard when needed, overseeing the check-in/check-out process, trailer verification, yard checks, and sealed trailer verification. This position requires working effectively outside to communicate with drivers.
