About The Position

This is a temp-to-full-time position responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments, including packaging products for shipment. The role also involves manual deburring, rethreading parts, preparing and cleaning parts, and using a forklift, hand truck, or sorting bins to deliver or route materials. Additionally, the position requires updating customer portals with logistics information, organizing inventory, reviewing shipment schedules, documenting inventory damages, examining shipment contents for accuracy, recording shipment data, and preparing shipping documents.

Requirements

3-5 years’ experience in shipping and receiving or another supply chain role.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift materials up to 30lbs.
Basic understanding of the decimal system.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be willing to submit to a national background check.

Responsibilities

Prepare outgoing shipments and receive incoming shipments.
Package products before shipment.
Perform manual deburring and rethreading of parts.
Prepare and clean parts.
Deliver or route materials to departments using a forklift, hand truck, or sorting bins.
Update customer portals with logistics information.
Organize inventory for easy retrieval.
Review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations.
Document damages to inventory.
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as sales orders, invoices, etc., to verify accuracy.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, etc., or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping.
Prepare documents, such as shippers, bills of lading, or custom documents, to route shipments.
