About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving, stocking, inventory, and shipping of all incoming and outgoing materials in accordance with processes and procedures. Job duties include preparing products for shipment, receipt, inspection, and logging of incoming shipments, stocking materials, stockroom inventory, cycle counts, and production job kitting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of related experience required.
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of analytical problem-solving tools preferred.
  • Ability to apply high school level mathematical operations to such tasks as cycle counting and inventory verification.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with multiple problems and situations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, and twist frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds (or specify your range).
  • Ability to lift and position materials overhead or at shoulder level as needed.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to grip, grasp, and handle small components as part of production tasks.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work at heights as needed.
  • Ability to handle vibrating tools or machinery.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, stoop, or work in confined spaces periodically.
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak effectively to communicate and respond to equipment alerts and alarms. Visually inspect parts and equipment and respond to safety alarms or signals.
  • Must be able to comfortably perform physical tasks associated with the role, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receives incoming material (verify part number & quantity) against packing lists and purchase orders, inspect as defined by the order requirements, and place into stock.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of stock and generate inventory reports as required. Performs periodic cycle counts of material as directed.
  • Packages outgoing materials, prepare shipping labels, and ensure pick-up as required.
  • Maintains the safety, quality, productivity and scrap for his/her area.
  • Attends training sessions/receive instruction on new products regarding processes, quality and safety standards.
  • Examines parts for defects. Identify non-conforming material and disposition accordingly.
  • Writes reports to describe and illustrate discrepancies, malfunctions, deviations from order specifications.
  • Maintains workspace, equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly manner according to individual assignments, policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned.
