About The Position

International Wire Group, a Pantheon Electric company and a leading manufacturer of high-quality copper wire products, is hiring Shipping and Receiving Associates for our Camden, New York facility. In this essential role, you will support the movement of materials and finished products throughout the facility. You will prepare incoming and outgoing shipments, inspect materials, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, maintain accurate shipping records, and help ensure products reach their destinations safely, accurately, and on time. We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented team members who take pride in safety, accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
  • Forklift certification is preferred or must be obtained as required by the company.
  • Ability to inspect materials and identify quality concerns or product damage.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required shipping documentation.
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive responsibilities and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to follow established procedures.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, attendance, and workplace accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials and finished products for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming materials.
  • Visually inspect incoming and outgoing wire to ensure it meets quality requirements.
  • Verify shipment contents and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
  • Coordinate and arrange product transportation as required.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Move reels and other materials throughout the facility without damaging the product or equipment.
  • Complete daily forklift safety inspections and report equipment concerns.
  • Tag and identify reels of wire accurately.
  • Read and use information contained in the Method Master or other production documentation.
  • Enter shipping, receiving, inventory, and product information into company computer systems.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors, operators, warehouse personnel, and employees on other shifts.
  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas that improve safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide support to coworkers and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
