About The Position

JostensPIX is seeking seasonal School Photographers to join their growing team. This role is ideal for photography enthusiasts or individuals looking to learn new skills. The position requires a positive attitude, a reliable vehicle, and a passion for capturing children's smiles. No prior photography experience is necessary as paid training will be provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (must be 18+).
• A reliable, insured vehicle and valid U.S. driver's license.
• Willingness to start early (driving start times as early as 4 AM) and work occasional extended hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of camera equipment.
• Ability to store camera equipment at home when not in use.
• A cheerful, friendly personality, especially around children.
• Comfortable working in a school environment with children of all ages and abilities.
• Strong communication, customer service, and tech skills.
• Comfort working independently for smaller events after training.
• Comfortable working with computers/cameras and ability to learn new programs.
• Grooming and professional appearance that reflects Jostens’ standards.
• Reliable cell phone and internet access.
• Must reside in Rome, NY or surrounding area.
• May be required to complete additional background/health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Capture genuine smiles and school memories.
• Travel to local schools using a personal vehicle to support picture day.
• Transport, set up, and take down photography equipment at school locations.
• Use photo software to organize and manage images.
• Gain hands-on photography experience in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Occasional overnight stays may be required, with hotel and per diem paid.
