Shipping and Receiving Associate

We are expanding our Operations Team with the addition of a Shipping and Receiving Associate. In this role you will report directly to Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to provide leadership in the tasks as outlined below.
Requirements
- 1+ years related experience or equivalent in a shipping and receiving/warehousing role.
- Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
- Experience with processing international shipments and familiarity with customs documentation requirements.
- Commitment to excellence, organization, and high standards.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience interfacing with ERP and warehousing software.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
- Valid forklift license.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Process all inbound and outbound shipments including but not limited to: sorting, logging, delivering, packing, labeling and shipping.
- Audit each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match the sales order.
- Pack and label products based on established standards.
- Prepare shipping and receiving documentation; maintain orderly files for all documentation.
- Participate in scheduling of daily transportation.
- Process all receiving transactions and paperwork.
- Inspect all incoming freight for damage; follow-up with appropriate staff to resolve issues.
- Assist in maintaining material inventory levels.
- Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in warehouse shipping and receiving area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
