About The Position

This opportunity is for SPX Technologies' Electric Heat business, a leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions. As a Shipping and Receiving Assembler, you will prepare product for export and receive materials and goods needed for business. This position supports the Weekend Shift, which is a 3-day workweek with 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and sorting incoming goods and dispersing them to the proper personnel/department.
• Administer all paperwork associated with the department, packing slips, freight tickets, factory orders, and bills of lading.
• Validating all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
• Prepare all outgoing shipments in accordance to shipping standards for weight and crating specifications.
• Maintain UPS shipments and on-line system.
