Welder - Weekend Shift (FRI-SUN)
About The Position
This opportunity is for SPX Technologies' Electric Heat business, a leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, they offer a wide range of standard and customized products through brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch. Their portfolio includes baseboard, wall, unit, and infrared heaters, along with ceiling fans and air circulators, focusing on comfort, reliability, performance, and energy-efficient solutions. As a Welder, you will perform welding operations to assemble and secure sheet metal for electrical and industrial equipment, according to engineering drawings and specifications. This position supports the Weekend Shift, a 3-day workweek, working 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of tig welding, mig welding, and spot welding equipment and techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Tig welding, Mig welding, and stick welding certification
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Responsibilities
- Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
- Welds or tack welds metal parts together, using tig welding, mig welding, or spot welding equipment.
- Removes rough spots from workpiece, using grinder, sander, or saw.
- May be trained and tested to be ASME certified.
