About The Position

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for a variety of duties connected with the operations of the Logistics department. This role ensures 100% error-free shipments and invoices, and 100% scanning of product through all aspects of the process. The clerk will ship material per customer release schedule, adhere to First In, First Out (FIFO) standards, and complete necessary shipping papers & bills of lading with signatures. They will also assure proper identification of material before shipping, make necessary shipping arrangements with trucking lines, and assist in inventory. The position requires ensuring all materials are kept in their designated storage area, reporting any concerns regarding organization to the supervisor, and following instructions to adapt to short-term requirements. Loading and unloading trailers and trucks, completing daily paperwork, and maintaining a turn-around time of no more than 1 hour for load/unloading are also key responsibilities. The role demands maintaining a clean and orderly work area, working safely around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery, and working overtime hours as required, including being available for emergency overtime. Regular attendance, compliance with company policies, and participation in continuous improvement activities are expected. The clerk will work cooperatively with others in a team environment, exhibit company core values, and communicate effectively with associates and between shifts. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure 100% error-free shipments and invoices.

  • Work safely around and/or while operating heaving equipment or manufacturing machinery.
  • Work overtime hours as required and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises.
  • Regularly report for work on time with a desire to perform to the best of your abilities.
