About The Position

As a Shipper at Atlas Tube a division of Zekelman Industries, Kansas City, MO, you will support warehouse and shipping operations by picking, packing, loading, and handling steel tube and pipe while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely shipments, proper inventory control, and organized material flow within the facility.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing operations.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic math skills for accurate order processing.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.
High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards.
Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment with exposure to noise and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.
