About The Position

The Shipper / Receiver works with team members to facilitate the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock to and from establishments. You will provide support to ensure that shipping and receiving commitments are achieved. Key performance indicators will be defined to facilitate shipping and receiving, including but not limited to moving, loading (or unloading) materials by hand or by using a variety of material handling equipment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and training of hazardous goods and truck regulations
  • Forklift driving experience
  • Knowledge of crane operation
  • Previous experience in doing inventory, shipping, receiving,
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel ERP ( visual)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid G driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience (counterbalance)
  • ERP experience (Visual Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

  • Organize the shipping & receiving department.
  • Label parts for shipping documents.
  • Make transportation/trucking arrangements.
  • Checking shipments received against bills of lading, invoices, or purchase orders to ensure that any discrepancies are identified and brought to the appropriate departments’ attention.
  • Inspecting shipments for damage and recording details.
  • Check part numbers and quantities to be shipped.
  • Generate packing slips for parts to be shipped.
  • Coordinate forklift and truck maintenance.
  • Building appropriate shipment skids and proper packaging techniques.
  • Ship control documents, custom papers, and packing slips.
  • Maintain Incoming / Outgoing inspections of material, supplies, and finished products.
  • Coordinating the movement of inventory throughout the plants.
  • Receiving of inventory.
  • Expediting material through the Visual system
  • Work with Quality Assurance, inspecting all incoming and outgoing parts.
  • Maintain / clean, and organize the yard outside the plant.
  • Follow all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
