As our Shipper / Receiver, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse and shipping/receiving operations with accuracy, care, and urgency. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail matters.

Requirements

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or materials handling preferred
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver Abstract
  • Must live in the greater Edmonton area or be willing to relocate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and solve problems effectively
  • Responsible, punctual, and dependable
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work well with others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, diplomatic approach
  • Knowledge of safe storage and handling procedures for chemicals and materials
  • Ability to safely lift, move, pack, and transport materials throughout the workday

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of proper shipping procedures for dangerous goods is an asset
  • Forklift experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and sign off on shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and related paperwork
  • Review shipping and receiving orders to plan daily work effectively
  • Pack goods for shipment and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Check incoming and outgoing units for defects or damage
  • Ensure all units are in good condition before shipping or receiving is completed
  • Carefully handle finished units, glass, parts, materials, equipment, and installation tools to prevent breakage or damage
  • Follow standard operating procedures for all shipping and receiving activities
  • Maintain accurate warehouse data related to materials movement
  • Communicate material shortages and quality issues to production management
  • Receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock
  • Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, then sort and stock received items
  • Maintain accurate daily log sheets, scan inventory, and complete counts carefully
  • Keep secure and accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Pack and unpack materials as needed
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain quality control
  • Help clean and organize the warehouse and exterior yard
  • Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment when required
  • Use equipment and tools properly to help keep them in good working condition
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area at all times
  • Support other warehouse-related duties as needed
