About The Position

Additionally, the position requires performing minor service of equipment, completing written daily safety inspections, and identifying and reporting noted problems to the supervisor for further inspection and repair. Responsibilities include changing batteries or fuel bottles, refueling forklifts, or troubleshooting repairs as needed, and maintaining the work area, dock, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, adhering to storage design principles, and recommending improvements. The role also involves creating product labels for inventory purposes, reading and understanding lot numbers, expiration dates, ingredient lists, and production schedules, and completing various reports daily and entering required information into a computer program efficiently and timely. The operator will use basic tools such as wrenches, tape measures, scales, air and water hoses, and consolidate partial pallets as directed by the production supervisor. Operators must be able to maneuver a forklift in tight spaces while maintaining a safe work zone for other drivers and team members. The position requires participation as a member of the Team, including ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, coordinating work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members, and attending appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, the individual will foster strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues and accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways to achieve synergy within the larger organization.
