Requirements
- Must be able to use time wisely
- Must be able to communicate well both written and verbal.
- Must be safe in all aspects of duties
- Must be a team player.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of forklift operations.
- At least a valid Class C drivers license
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- Two years’ experience in field a plus.
- Computer knowledge a plus
Responsibilities
- Load and unload product using a fork truck into various types of trucks and trailers.
- Fill out paperwork, check in or out shipments.
- Perform inventory on a monthly basis.
- Calculate and pull case goods lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Perform forklift inspections daily.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Complete any other duties assigned by management and or team leaders.
- Know how to read the bill of ladings and load logs.
- Load the proper product.
- Fill all of the paperwork out correctly (this includes matching purchase orders, receiving’s, and placing these papers in the proper boxes).
- Place all safety devices (wheel chocks, safety chains, loading plates etc.) on the trailers that they are working on.
- Break full pallets of product down to make partial pallets for special loads.
- Maintain a professional work attitude with the truck drivers that come in the facility and with the office personnel.
- Keep yard clean and organized.
- Drive safely at all times.
