Located at our Fort Saskatchewan Shop, the successful candidate will report to the Materials Coordinator. Applicants require 7+ years of experience in the mechanical piping and structural industry. The successful candidate will be required to assist with data entry and to haul loaded trailers to various locations as required, adhering to all Provincial Road Laws and ONEX River Safety protocol.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years of applicable experience.
  • Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Moderate computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
  • Great communication and organizational skills are required.
  • 5yr clean abstract must be provided & employment is conditional on approved abstract.
  • Candidate must be 25yrs or older due to insurance purposes.
  • CSTS 2020 & WHMIS required.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift & Zoom Boom certification and experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices and shipping documents; report and document any shortages or damages.
  • Label, wrap, pack, unpack, sort, and stack materials of various sizes and weights.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard area.
  • Support daily and annual inventory control activities, including cycle counts and audits
  • Transport materials including pipe, tools, equipment, sea cans, and boxed goods within the yard and to other local sites.
  • Perform data entry to maintain accurate internal records and inventory systems.
  • Track incoming and outgoing orders to ensure timely, accurate deliveries and pickups
  • Communicate with vendors to request estimates, confirm orders, and manage other procurement-related tasks.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders as needed.
  • Perform other general shop duties as assigned.
