This position is primarily responsible for safely loading and unloading finished goods according to customer orders, specifications, and requirements. The role maintains accurate inventory using first-in/first-out (FIFO) methods to maximize product code dates and rotation. It operates material-handling equipment and warehouse management systems, transfers finished goods between packaging and the cooler, and loads refrigerated trailers according to customer specifications. The operator follows detailed standard operating procedures, safety and food-safety requirements, and applicable dairy regulations. Duties also include inspections, completing shipping and receiving records, maintaining environmental and housekeeping controls, product rework and repacking, supporting audits, and cross-training with other departments. This is a hands-on position in a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Operators are assigned to a shift—days, swing, or nights—and may work weekends; workdays and shifts may change to cover absences, downtime, or events such as audits.
