About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. The role requires working in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. The shift is the 2nd Shift, from 4:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with a pay rate of $21.15 per hour. A $1,500 Sign & Stay Bonus is offered for the second shift. Benefits are available from Day 1, and on-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
Ability to lift 50 lbs
May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)
Work around raw, live animal odors

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern
Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside
Loads ice-packed poultry on trucks as needed
Other duties as assigned
