As a Ship/Rec/Stores Clerk I, you will support the movement, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials that help ensure products and supplies are available where and when they are needed. In this role, you will work closely with warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, and cross-functional teams to maintain inventory accuracy, process incoming and outgoing shipments, and support day-to-day material flow activities. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations. PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.
