As a Ship/Rec/Stores Clerk I, you will support the movement, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials that help ensure products and supplies are available where and when they are needed. In this role, you will work closely with warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, and cross-functional teams to maintain inventory accuracy, process incoming and outgoing shipments, and support day-to-day material flow activities. This position offers the opportunity to build foundational supply chain and operations experience while being part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations. PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products in distribution centers.

Requirements

  • Requires little or no prior knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain operational procedures, systems and tools.
  • Job skills and knowledge of policies, procedures and systems are acquired and applied to clearly defined work instruction.

  • No minimum education requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, stockroom, or inventory control.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or barcode scanning tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office or similar systems.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Experience with cycle counting, material transactions, and inventory accuracy practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and proactive skills.
  • Flexibility to support different shifts, overtime, or changing business needs when required.
