About The Position

The Ship Checker plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of shipments leaving the facility. This position is responsible for meticulously verifying that all items packed for shipment match the order specifications, including quantity, quality, and packaging standards. The Ship Checker collaborates closely with warehouse and logistics teams to identify and resolve discrepancies before shipments are dispatched. By maintaining high standards of accuracy, the Ship Checker helps prevent costly errors, returns, and customer dissatisfaction. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of inventory and shipping procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret packing lists, shipping documents, and product labels.
• Attention to detail with strong observational skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle packages as required.
• Attention to detail daily to ensure that every shipment is accurate and complete, preventing costly errors.
• Communication skills are essential for reporting discrepancies and coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and barcode scanners helps streamline the verification process and maintain accurate records.
• Physical stamina and organizational skills enable the Ship Checker to manage multiple shipments and maintain productivity throughout the workday.
• Problem-solving abilities are also important to quickly identify and address any shipment irregularities, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect outgoing shipments to verify that the correct products and quantities are included according to packing lists and order documentation.
• Check packaging for compliance with company and regulatory standards to ensure products are protected during transit.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the warehouse supervisor or logistics coordinator promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and communicate findings to relevant departments to facilitate timely resolution.
• Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to streamline processes and improve overall shipment accuracy and efficiency.
